Located down a laneway in the village of Trentham, in the picturesque Victorian goldfields, RedBeard Historic Bakery is a national leader in traditional baking.
Using a rare, huge, 19th century oven, RedBeard creates handmade, certified organic, sourdough bread.
RedBeard’s licensed café is a favourite destination for tourists and locals. The menu features local, organic produce in season.
RedBeard runs popular baking workshops and group tours of the bakery as well as participating in numerous festivals and farmers’ markets that attract visitors to their region.
RedBeard’s commitment to quality ingredients, traditional processes and sustainability was recognised by the National Baking Industry Association with two awards. RedBeard also received the Victorian Tourism Minister's Encouragement Award in 2011.
